The expiration of the product patent is actually 2024 (2023 is Australian patent).

One of the things with FDA marketing exclusivity is that slightly before the 12 years is up a generics manufacturer can apply for and get all manufacturing information from the original company. While wading through the Cytodyn patents I realized there was no patent on manufacturing for leronlimab. It may be possible to get such a patent (if any novelty can be proved) which would block anyone else from manufacturing leronlimab for 20 years.
