First off, when someone says that the company got the exemption, when did the company get it? Today? First of the week? 2 weeks ago?
Shareholders have been waiting for 2 months for news on what the heck has been going on? Why would the company wait till next week to deliver news when they know the shareholders have been waiting that long, regardless that it's a Friday or a Monday or a Tuesday or whatever day? When they get the exemption, they should put out news to put their shareholders at ease. It's the right thing to do at that time.
Lastly, the CEO is beholden to the shareholders. Joe is on record saying how much he 'cares' for his shareholders, instilling confidence should be paramount to him.
