I was told the same thing by people in the know regarding these matters. They also believe the requests may have come from doctors at those hospitals that were trial sites as they saw rapid recovery in some patients (who knows how many but I bet it was startlingly good) and requested the CU for those patients of theirs that weren't in the trial.
