The politicians know where the money comes from to feed the political machine. Don't expect enforcement when money has been stripped away from the SEC enforcement arm.

The first step to change is to have Congress repeal the wording on the law that makes a corporation a "person". The second is to strip away secrecy from all political funding and expose the donors. Only the American people can effectuate that change by pressuring Congress. It seems of little import to most people's lives so they do nothing. But it is the most important thing that can be done to mantain a democracy rather then to have America slide further into a corpocracy.
