Even if there are 100k fraudulently claimed deaths, which I doubt as defrauding CMS invites detailed audits, with criminal sanctions and punitive fines, the total impact is still enormous.
Thankfully clinical care, even without target therapeutics, and vaccines, have mitigated the impact of Covid. Nonetheless, the impact is enormous.
I don’t argue for an Australian style lockdown, but acknowledging the clinical impact is necessary to calculate appropriate responses to prevent harm to the healthcare system, the economy and individual lives.
