Think of it like..
Angiotensin (ANG II) binds to ACE2
Cov19 Viral Spike (CVS) binds to ACE2
Host Antibodies bind to CVS
Host Antibodies may show affinity and bind to ANG II (since both it and the viral protein would share binding sites with similar affinity for ACE2 and thus, possibly host Antibodies as well).
It could easily be a factor, and in some cases possibly a large one. There's copious documentation also of past / dormant infections (EBV, CMV, herpes, etc) reactivating (as well as tumor advancement). Maybe there's a correlation.
