Imagine they EUA yet another drug that doesn't work, and it turns out they declined one that really, really does?
They no longer have the luxury of (no pun) regulatory immunity.. eyes are on them for their abject failure during the opioid epidemic, knee jerk authorizations for HCQ, Rem, and recent debacle with Aducanumab.. I don't ascribe any moral element; that would be as much a CYA as anything.
