Here's something interesting that I ran across a few days ago (to take everyone's minds off the bashers, who IMO get way too much attention here)
It's an 18-month buy and hold strategy for investing in OTC stocks that will uplist soon to the NASDAQ. The strategy is identical to what we are all doing here with UNVC.
The strategy is the following:
1) Find OTC stocks that have signaled their intention to uplist to the NASDAQ soon and/or have filed a S-1 (intention to uplist) form with the SEC.
2) Do your DD and buy stock in the OTC company at least 6 months before it uplists to the NASDAQ
3) Once the company has uplisted to the NASDAQ, wait at least 12 months (for the stock price to mature) before selling
Here's a great video on this particular investment strategy:
The average returns listed for this strategy were:
1) 185% if you buy the OTC stock 6 months before it uplists (and wait 12 months once it is on the NASDAQ).
2) 34% if you buy on the first day of the NASDAQ uplist (and wait 12 months).
3) Of course this assumes you will do your DD and choose the right companies to invest in. But it might be a better strategy to invest in upwardly mobile OTC companies.
