Nope, I own/operate a historic preservation company. We restore mostly 1800's buildings here in Toronto . I may have used that for a visual as "holding pattern" seems to describe the situation we are in.
On the subject of "what will you do after UNVC?" That seems to be the big one for me. I will be 50 soon and running this business has worn me out. I think part of that is Covid as well. This has taken a toll on a lot of us and I think it has changed me in a good way. I have slowed down to better connect with family and operate in a less chaotic or stressful way.
And to be honest this process with UNVC has taught me a lot as well. Having zero control in something sits you down and forces you to wait your turn. Ha! Something I have trouble with as I am used to multi tasking and pushing the pace!
Like Wrenchman and likely many others here, we are all juggling and in a holding pattern. Thangs to the DD here, I am still excited and in this in a big way.
