If by delaying the start of the trial, they are using Prurisol that has been synthesized with many fewer steps, and at lower cost, and at higher yield.... it would be foolish to chide them for a slight delay for something that will SIGNIFICANTLY improve the company's profits down the line (always assuming, of course, that it really works on humans).

If the manufacturing is changed, the FDA can say they want to start from ground zero -- so if they want to manufacture it this way, they have to submit to the FDA something manufactured with THAT process.
