One of the worst decisions ever was when the government abruptly ended the BARDA grant program for therapeutics, one day before grants were to be announced, in May of 2019.
Not coincidentally, those grants were intended for smaller companies.
And then Moderna was given another slug of money.
If IPIX had received government grants -- in an amount far smaller than what Moderna got -- you can bet that the clinical trials would have been over many, many months ago.
There's another company that some of us own, which has a therapeutic drug which seems to save the lives of hospitalized patients by tamping down cytokine storm, with no significant side effects. They also could have been done with clinical trials had they gotten government support.
