It's not hype, mania, hysteria, propaganda, etc. It's justified coverage.

In fact, I think the main area where the media has dropped the ball from Day One is not showing what ICUs look like on the inside. Like showing the coffins coming back from a war zone, show the public what being intubated looks like, show emaciated people gasping for air. Scare the public into not dismissing or underestimating the danger.

I also think the media could be doing a better job of conveying the human toll among healthcare workers. They are quitting or retiring in droves because they're exhausted, traumatized, fed-up, or all of the above. A lot of that should be on the FDA's conscience too.
