That's interesting because the record ownership date is September 1, 2021, which is still in the future.
Yes, ego or a lot of other things can still change whether one "was" a shareholder on a given date or not when that record date is in the future. Someone with a big ego might buy or sell as a result of all this happening right now.
Maybe I have not been investing enough, but I don't recall that I have ever received a proxy solicitation prior to the record date.
Has anyone here ever received a proxy solicitation prior to the record date?
