This positive news sure did put a stick in the short's ant hill!
When the SP hovered around $1, they said it was all over for VERB.
When volume of over half a billion trades occurred and the SP went up to $4, they couldn't understand it.
Price came back down to around $2 when they thought it would keep going down below $1. Guess they were wrong then too. At least the ants are consistent.
Ascendiant Capital raised price target from $4 to $5. Ants didn't like that because they would have to cover if VERB's SP went too high.
Panic began and more ants started to come out of the hill. Queen ant, TenKay became irritated on symantics. No VP! Ex-Microsoft VP, or no VP? No VP, said the ant. Bad Q2? Q2 worse than Q1? Q2 worse than Q1, said the ant. One ant thought "Should be real simple for "someone" to post proof of a former Microsoft VP?". That ant then claimed they asked Mr Woo of Ascendiant Capital for the "VERB research reports", but didn't seem to follow up with any "proof". I guess they found something in those reports that might tear down the ant hill.
The ants couldn't understand what was going on and why the SP target would go up instead of down. That can happen when one's time is spent on twisting truths and spewing lies about a company instead of doing real DD. Now the ant, TenKay claims Ascendiant isn't credible. I guess if it hurts your position as a short then you would say just about any lie. Lol
TenKay, 10Kay, Ten-K, or 10k? Only one of these has credible information. The others don't know what 10k means, or how to understand the information within.
Ants didn't see the increase in institutional ownership. They expected that information to be spoon fed to them through a 13D or two. No 13D? No institutions willing to invest 5% or more in VERB? How about several institutions wanting in, but don't want to have to publicly reveal their investment strategies through a 13D and stay under the radar on several stocks?
Some ants are afraid of acquisitions (unless its to increase the short's ant mound size). The ants didn't like VERB engaging Truist Securities to advance its acquisition strategy. Seems like the market doesn't care what the ants think. Oh, my! Will the ants send for queen TenKay again? One worker ant asked "If VERB is so terrific why more acquisitions?" I guess that ant is unfamiliar with how successful companies grow.
The best that queen ant, Tenkay could do was claim that "Rory can't grow the business organically". Does that mean the queen ant acknowledges Rory IS growing the business through inorganic growth? I guess the ant has to come up with something new because the SP is continuing to go up and holding ground. Not a good 3 months outlook for those shorting ants!
I've got my Amdro ready!
