As in your post, 2Guy, when the NYTimes prints "tend to be ...white,...", the red flags go up. Vaccine resistant? Yeah, look at a different population segment, and don't rely on media company surveys.
Lots of cases from this variant? Sure. ICU beds full? Yes. How about deaths? Wait, why aren't those being mentioned? Wait, who died in the first wave? Well, gosh 85% were obese.
Want to decrease your risk? Get vaccinated; you'll also protect your family and those you come in conact with.
Want to decrease your death risk? Well, decrease your BMI. You've had 18+ months to try, fail, and then keep trying. Many ways to exercise and increase your heart rate without taking any Covid risk. Do we have to shut down the economy again because you won't put your fork down?
Want to talk about suicides? The shocking number isn't in vets or health care workers; not even close. It's in masked, socially isolated children (under 18 yo). You are shocked by the drug overdose numbers, right? Including in teens, right?
