We should never have shut down the economy period. It was political leaders, too afraid of the backlash to overrule medical personnel that were duped into doing it. Once the most vulnerable populations were isolated (this was sad, but necessary), leaders made believe they knew what to do. They got it wrong for many, many months. I am not a doctor, but have several in my family and when leaders were forcing people into their homes (not even their yards) and told no masks, then masks, then two masks, these medical doctors were flummoxed. Recirculating the same air inside from person to person was pure folly.
