"While revenue was lower than we had estimated, recurring SaaS revenue increase 10% sequentially and 26% year-over-year. Non recurring digital revenue, which includes implementations and other services drove the revenue shortfall vs our estimate," Alliance said in the note.

red's comment: Umm, that was the plan stan. Increase SaaS and lower nonSaaS low margin stuff. If only Verb sold some more welcome kits, then everyone would be happy, eh?

"We believe the sequential growth in recurring digital revenue is likely the result of SHOP.com adopting verbLIVE as well as increased adoption of verbCRM," Alliance said.

red's comment: Uh? Shop Live was launched July 1. VerbCRM was available to all UFOs on June 1. From my calculations, VerbLive SaaS revenue didn't start until Q3.

Verb is in a partnership with Market America Worldwide/SHOP.COM for the deployment of its verbLIVE livestream ecommerce application to more than 100,000 distributors globally.

red's comment: NewAge launching in Sept so revenue from up to 600,000 users would mostly start in Q4.

red's comment: Both these companies likely have a ramp, so watch revenue explode as the quarters go by. Even just onboarding 10% of the users would drive big numbers. Analysis should fire up their slideruler on that one.

"The marketplace will be a primary catalyst in 2022, in our opinion. Management has developed a platform/site where retailers can host their own events. VERB is creating a marketplace, where consumers can come watch a variety of live sales videos and purchase products on those videos," Alliance said. The firm maintained its "Buy" rating and $4 target.
