If you have a multi-million dollar drug and a lot of power with the FDA, because you got your useless drug approved for emergency use, even though the European Union refused to approve it --
don't you think it might be a good strategy for a small company to say "Hey look, combining our drug with the useless-but-approved one from a powerful Big Pharma is a good treatment"?
