It is not the same difference, in my opinion.
You're correct in that people who develop cardiovascular risk factors usually make choices that affect only them- such as smoking, obesity and poor diet. If they have a cardiac event it usually only affects them and their close family.
I respect their ability to make such choices even if I may think it's wrong.
A person's choice to refuse or delay vaccination allows Covid a reservoir to expand and mutate in which keeps the virus active and poses a direct risk to everyone around them, vaccinated or not.
So I do not respect choices that impinge upon the safety, health and security of our society when the chooser apparently thinks only of themselves or dithers around because they are confused or lazy.
This is a very important reason to judge unvaccinated people because it really does impact everyone. It will probably take a lot more death and time before most everybody understands how to diminish Covid back to a nuisance infection similar to influenza. People making choices to provide a host for Covid and its mutations will not speed that process up.
We can move on from this subject if you wish, but society needs to pay attention to it.
