At this point in time I would say it's still up in the air whether ivermectin has effect. It's MOA as an antiviral doesn't support it's use once the disease goes into a high inflammatory state or for longhaulers but it may work in early use to stop progression. The Oxford and Activ-6 trials should give a definitive answer.
