As for all-in costs of the itigation, it all depends on how the court rules and how long the litigation lasts. These firms will very likely be billing on an hourly basis. Sidley is a large firm, and their rates are typical of large law firms.

The litigation could cost anywere from a few hundred thousand on the low end to a couple million on the higher end. Trial alone could be a million if it ever came to that.

Well-worth the cost to protect the company and reputation.
