"Lockdowns" only work as well as they're adhered to.. there are several examples of successful lockdowns over the past year. There's more examples of nonexistent / in name only lockdowns that did nothing.

Lowering viral load / exposure has a massive effect on disease course.. less initial viral load, better outcomes. Masks and other PPE lower viral load, full stop.
