That’s a bad strategy. As in every election, every vote matters.
You can also double the vote value if a failure to convince shareholders to your side actually does the opposite and makes them vote against you. So the, say, 10m shares you could have received becomes 10m for the other side, making that 10m worth a 20m swing. (I explained that poorly)
