Patterson’s peer reviewed research describes a machine learning profile, characterizing long haulers. No trials treating LH (anecdotes and reports of success by his sidekick don’t carry much weight). His research demonstrates the correlation of macrophage polarization due to persistence of viral fragments. This would be far more impactful were it to have described treatment and restoration (May 2020 paper, critical Covid with normalization of immune system and elimination of viremia after Leronlimab administration)
Also, important to recall that machine learning explanations don’t always pan out. Correlations don’t always accurately provide a treatment path.
Remembers the bradykinin explanation for critical Covid?
I’m sure many this week have seen the well done paper by Gold et al describing Covid, but critical and LH as being strong associated with EBV reactivation.
Jury is still out on many details, but immune dysregulation (allows EBV reactivation) with hyper innate response and poor progression to an effective adaptive response appears settled.
Leronlimab has that covered.
