But he hasn't done any trials with placebo nor described his outcome measures nor is he doing any research protocols, which ethically require informed consent. He is doing off label treatment with existing drugs, selling his test panels, and doing telemedicine with a group of doctors. I wish him and his group well, but I wonder how it advances medical knowledge without doing a proper controlled trial?
CYDY at least did a real research study in LH, with another on the way, FDA approval pending. It might be nice to have an arm with LL and a statin for comparison vs LL alone vs placebo.
It would be interesting to look at EBV status in the trial too. So many questions. Hard to get the design right and prove a drug or cocktail actually provides benefit to patients to convince the FDA to allow marketing. What should be the LL primary endpoint?
