The 13d's "Shock and Awe campaign" ...fizzled out....An NYSE Governance Services report found that (13%)...(not lost on me) of Directors out of 300 Publicly traded companies would welcome an activist involvement and that 84% believe it would create a negative distraction. It could be said that few boards if any...are likely to embrace outside MEDDLING.
Activism/hostile attempts can be measure in several ways.
(1) achieving their stated AIM...NO Plan..FAILED.
(2) Financial success of Activist Fund; 2/20 Rule 2% of Mkt Cap fee/ 20% of INCREASE in PPS...FAILED.
(3) Activists pick GOOD Companies that are mispriced in the market where there are levers to be pulled...(reversed PPS) FAILED.
NOTHING takes the wind out of the sails of an activist/hostile campaign like a Loyal and supportive Shareholder base.
