I am saying that I respond to people in the tone in which they respond to me.  I try to be respectful and I will address you respectfully if you address me in the same manner.

I think I have always done that.

Apparently others feel differently, but I'm not sure why.  I think mostly people are upset that I do not always take the side of the company.
