FACT: No company went bankrupt while operating the Chloride Copper Mine.

FACT: The mine was closed in 1996 when copper prices dropped below $1.00lb.

Oracle Mining 's 100%-owned Oracle Ridge Copper Mine operated from 1991 to 1996 . The mine closed primarily due to low copper prices.

Roy Chavez heard about plans to develop the nation's largest copper mine ... in the Magma Copper mine nearby until it closed in 1996 . BHP's Magma mine at Superior closed in June of 1996 .

This was the end of the Magma mine when the smelter
