I am looking into conglomerates and how they function.
Here is a quote from an article about Berkshire Hathaway concerning how many people Warren Buffet has working in his corporate office.
Surprising to say the least how FEW people work there considering the scope of the enterprise.
Importantly, you’ll notice that there are only 26 employees in Berkshire Hathaway’s corporate office – that’s because Buffett is adamant that portfolio companies need to be well-managed in their own right, and he thinks this decentralization is a key to his success.
Doc doesn't need to employ hundres of people at Univec Conglomerate Inc.
The companies that will be under the conglomerate are up and running with their own leadership.
And yes, we are a CONGLOMERATE!!!
We are going to be in for some great reading and DD digging in the coming weeks, months and next few years.
