While you were busy trying to figure out how to completely nutburger the day away, and I feel sure you succeeded in that endeavor, I went out and picked up a copy of "APRIL 1865 - The Month That Saved America" by Jay Winik. I have read two of his other books, "THE GREAT UPHEAVAL - America And The Birth Of The Modern World 1788 - 1800" and "1944 - FDR And The Year That Changed History". Both are fantastic reads so do yourself a favor and grab one if you get the chance.
