I am somewhat guilty of what you suggest. But my viewpoint is not that of a moderator.
Yes, hold everyone to the standard. Also, understand the objectives & why the standard was created.
As a mod I am sure that when 6 of 10 post are in violation it makes sense to blanket delete. If there is no effort to respect the guidelines, then yeah, what else can you do?
There is that 2-4 out of 10 that make sense & challenge our best to be more definitive.
For my money, nobody but nobody, gets a free pass because of who they are or their allegiances.
But muddying the water to keep people away from the well is borderline evil.
Hard to judge & define motive. Do not envy your position.
Should you choose to blanket delete, I will be just as kind in not judging you.
It has been a while since I sent anyone to Hell, as I am nearing decision day, myself.
My advice would be to do as you will,as we are lucky to have you.
