My feelings as to current status of IPIX:
These continual pleas for news are nauseating, the false deadlines given by persons clueless about how clinical trials work sickening, and the lack of faith in the science of Brilacidin disturbing.
We have a definite date this month for the Virology Conference, a knowledge that the trial will be completely finished around the first of August to include all follow-up 60 day phone calls per the June 3 PR, and later in August the Dept of Defense Biological Research presentation. We also have per a PR that the UC trial WILL commence sometime in Q3 (Jul-Sept) but nothing more definite than that.
We have NO CLUE yet as to when clinical trial results will be published. Could be any time in August or possibly Sept - we just don't know at this time so any "deadline" is completely bogus.
If you know what you own, you understand the science of defensin proteins and the scientific studies that developed the drug (Big Ben super computer hours to maximize benefits and minimize negative side effects, you understand the meaning of a Selectivity Index of 426, and you realize the ability in past trials of Brilacidin being able to nearly perfectly match results in vivo as they saw in vitro then you KNOW that the success of Brilacidin/IPIX is assured.
So what happens in the next 8-12 weeks is going to be positive but when it happens at any time within that time frame is immaterial. I personally don't question my investment, I only consider how totally Brilacidin will be able to be used across the whole spectrum of indications that Dr. DeGrado has said that it should be quite effective.
I do not question that my IPIX investment will set me up nicely for life. I am now praying that it can help patients with problems of the GI tract, lung issues, leaky brain issues, dermatology issues, kidney issues, liver issues, virus and bacterial issues, and many more that haven't been discovered yet. Brilacidin and Kevetrin IMO could be the first major step in pushing medicine into a new age of effectiveness.
If you are really a long (and I know some proclaimed longs are merely medical LINOs - long in name only) lets post and reply to those posts that we know have validity to them and keep the board readable.
