I agree, but I also don't take it personally. Ever since Gamestop, it seems the stock pundits of the world have taken to calling any company that experiences rapid SP appreciation a meme stock (Despite tangible public information that speaks to the value of said company)
Seems to me to be their attempt to minimize the actual legitimacy and true value & potential of any company, since branding it as a meme may turn some investors off and discourage them from looking any further into that stock.
But, it could also encourage others to buy and hold, looking for ever more explosive short squeezes....It's an interesting game we all find ourselves in.
