Misrepresentation on message boards and bashing/pumping is something that unfortunately will be unavoidable with so many voices and opinions, all the more reason why at the end of the day someone who takes the time to do proper DD into their investment will be better off in the long run. I've seen or heard just about everything on these investing forums, from the sky high posts, to panic, to great DD by very smart and insightful posters, and everything in between including claims of insider trading or company bashing. For me it always comes back to DD and taking everything online with a grain of salt. These forums are interwoven with all kinds of info both accurate and false, its up to us to decipher whats what and make our own decision in the end.
