I listened to the conference call again. I think why they did it the way they did for the p value is that symptoms may fluctuate on a day to day basis regardless of leronlimab. There may have been excessive exercise or dehydration or other factors that could positively or negatively affect the 56 day outcomes. Because of the time it takes for leronlimab to kick in the first few days would be neutral or negative for those on the drug.

Here's how I think they did it. For each patient they looked at scores for each day 0 if there's no change, -1 if there's a positive change by one severity level, +1 if there's a negative change by one severity level . Add them all together and divide by 56 to get the average.
