My only real error here was assuming the US FDA was, even if not interested in saving lives, would have someone holding them accountable if they weren't. I may ultimately be wrong on both counts, but the dam will break at some point. When it does, there won't be any saving face for them if it comes from outside of this country. The problem is that they've punted and now won't be given the opportunity to make that call before others get the chance.

They're irrelevant for the immediate future, imo.
