However selling puts on a stock you actually want own is much safer, the worst is you own the stack at a strike price lower than the trading price when the contract was written minus the premium for selling the put. The worst case scenario is if the sp plummets and you end up buying above current price, however if you put a trailing stop loss, losses will be less.
I only commented because HH seemed to imply SAF was selling puts on CYDY due the photo with Pete Najarian.
