Generally it has to do with personalities. You don't want your doctors and researchers running your business and you don't want your business management running your research and clinics. The best is when they each stay in their lanes and work together.
Right now I would say we have a bigger problem to circumvent and that is all these movers and shakers at BP, the FDA, NIH, WHO and the research community at universities know each other. They are on first name basis with Fauci and probably know the movers and shakers in India, Brazil, Philippines, Canada, etc. How to circumvent that clique might be a bigger challenge.
