The problem was the FDA were the ones that wanted 700mg but then wanted a RO test to justify a higher dosage that they chose. The RO occupancy test was not part of the original trial design.
If one wants to know how well the virus is being blocked one doesn't need an RO test, one only has to look at the viral load. Since viral load tells you whether the virus has dropped below a point where it can be transmitted it is far superior to an RO test.
The MOA even a child could understand. Block the entry point for the virus and the virus can't replicate.
