The FDA could have put out a statements that they felt the data from CD12 is impressive but not statistically significant enough.
maybe this could have been said:
"The FDA is extending its efforts to help Cytodyn get significantly significant trial results in any way we can given the worldwide pandemic"

instead, we got a childish statement that clearly sets a tone of indifference.
