There are seven major pharmaceuticals firms in India producing Remdesivir. This drug seems to be the gold standard for Covid relief in the minds of many Indians. I recently watch a video of an Indian gentleman desperately going from pharmacy to pharmacy yelling into the doorway, " do you have any Remdesivir"? He needed it for a relative and apparently pharmacies are allowed to dispense it with a prescription. How it would be administered, I have no idea.
My point is that Indians know and seek Remdesivir. Think of the vacuum that will create if this drug is pulled away from them. Something needs to fill that void ASAP.
