I will consider whether Doge can work long term or not and will use caution as I evaluate that as gains come in. However Elon Musk has said that when transactions increase - and I don’t recall exactly how he said it - that then lower transaction fees but a higher transaction count is a benefit. I do understand that if tons of transactions take place (and the amount that can be mined per year is a fixed amount) and if this count gets high enough it can make the mining amount less relevant. And who is to say the developers couldn’t quit allowing mining anyway if they wanted to?
