The FDA letter was shocking. I just assumed that if the FDA goes ahead and publishes a piece like that, it would be factually correct. But gradually I realized it's riddled with mistakes. I find that amazing.
Others have listed those mistakes, including Dr. Bream, so I won't.
But why was it flawed? Was it rushed, and therefore sloppy? If it were rushed, why the hell was it rushed? Was it CYA because other countries are about to issue an EUA, making the FDA look bad? Sure, there was public pressure, but was there so much pressure they couldn't be bothered to make sure their facts were right? Did no one even fact-check at that august body? Or were they deliberately offering falsehoods, exaggerating their case, because refutations will never reach many ears? And if that were the case, what would make them lie? There are dark versions, and there are darker versions. The best case scenario is that they are stung, and reacting to good things that are about to happen for us and for far-off nations that see the truth. Meanwhile, their letter is dumb and dumber.
