On other boards, the rules are: no profanity; no direct insults (e.g. "you're a jerk" ); no politics; no religion; no attempts to start a food fight.
Any posts that violate those rules get deleted, no matter what the other content of the post is.
I suggest that the moderators here consider adopting at least some of those rules.
I sometimes ask people via PM: "would you want your 10-year-old relative to read that?" Usually that solves the problem.
