Books and movies are stories and stories must have an ending just like everyone's life does. Today we still cannot know how LL's story will end. But what we know already is that this story represents what is the worst and what is the best about this country. And it does so in a most dramatic, life-or-death situation for our nation and the world. The best is the creative powers of the American people and the spirit of an ethically-oriented capitalism. The worst is the system of power=money, corrupted to the core because it is "democratic" only by name. In the end, the fate of LL as well as similar discoveries of the grass-root capitalism will depend on the fate of this system of political power.
