Big Pharma has a dark history of using Africans as a testing ground for all manner of compounds, so even though misguided in this case, I can understand where a high level of skepticism could be warranted.

But there's no excuse for the quacks in first world countries prescribing Pet Meds to victims of this virus. They should have legal action brought against them.
