This website says the % of volume that was short volume yesterday, was 64%.
Surely 64% of the shares traded were being shorted?
Because share price went up by 12%, how can that happen with 64% short??

I read a description somewhere about what "short interest" is, explaining that the % volume reported is not actually meaning what it seems to mean.
Can anyone help clarify this?
