I don’t mean to chime in here again, but there is a legitimate reason Doc went dark to begin with. He isn’t a shady CEO, he got screwed. By an industry. That’s his story to tell so I’ll leave it at that, but he decided that while he built HIS Conglomerate, he will do it his way, and not be screwed again.
