Re: Evil Rabbit #88613
If they are going through and treating 100 patients (800 vials) quickly then yeah, restocking will clearly be necessary. My cautionary statement is that each of 721 hospitals do not have the same ICU capacities, which can also translate into some hospitals requiring much fewer than 100 pts worth of doses, while others may exceed. There's no blanket check at the moment but we "may" have ourselves a real selling opportunity. More details will hopefully emerge in the following weeks.
The part I don't know and don't have the time to research is how the Philippines Healthcare system is setup. So who is covering the cost of Leronlimab if a pt needs their 4 weeks of Tx. If the government is picking up the tab, then things may be looking good. If the individual pts are required to pay out of pocket, it may be difficult.
Perhaps someone on here (who has time) could research pt payment for Covid-19 therapeutics in Philippines. My guess is cost is billed to patients through the hospital billing dept, fairly standard in U.S. Though I don't know how that works with insurance in their country as most plans have exclusions for experimental drugs. I look forward to seeing some research from our many posters.
Thanks In Advance!
