Many or most critically ill COVID patients do not get better.
As far as giving Brilacidin with Remdesivir -- in this country, if Remdesivir is a possible and approved treatment, it would be unethical to have a control group that did not get Remdesivir (which might be considered standard-of-care in some hospitals).
Therefore, if you are going to introduce an investigational drug which may work, you CANNOT withhold Remdesivir.
I also remind you that in some press releases, IPIX stated that it appeared that there was a synergistic effect for Brilacidin with Remdesivir.
